House of Correction

The House of Correction (HOC) receives and maintains custody of all prisoners in Milwaukee County sentenced and committed by an authorized court for periods not exceeding one year; prisoners from other jurisdictions are accepted as authorized by County ordinance.

Services offered by the House of Correction are performed in conjunction with the Detention Services Bureau of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.
