08-05-10 Sheriff Clarke Holds Roll Call for Multi-Jurisdictional OWI Task Force

On Saturday, August 7, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. will address the Southeast Multi-Jurisdictional OWI Task Force before they head out on their 33rd enforcement deployment targeting drunk drivers. It is not uncommon after a disaster like we recently experienced to have fly-by-night contractors prey on people who are in an emotional, traumatized state after an incident such as severe basement flooding. Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. appears with Franklin Mayor Thomas Taylor, and 13 participants in the Wisconsin Junior Miss program, at Franklin's National Night Out (NNO) event  at the Franklin Public Library.

OWI Task Force


The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office OWI Task Force was formed in January 2008.  Since its creation, the task force has removed over 3,000 drunken drivers off the Milwaukee County freeway system.

Presented to Sheriff Clarke by MADD State Executive Director Kari Kinnard in recognition of the MCSO OWI Task force The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office OWI Task f orce is honored to receive an award in the category of "Law Enforcement Agency Committed to Reduce Impaired Driving" at the 2008 Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Statewide Award Ceremony, held September 25 at UW-Oshkosh. The award, one of only six awarded to law enforcement agencies throughout the state, was presented to Sheriff Clarke by MADD State Executive Director Kari Kinnard in recognition of the MCSO OWI Task force, specifically formed to target drunk driving on the Milwaukee County expressway system.

Accident Report Lookup


Crashes investigated by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office are now available. In a continuing effort to improve customer service, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. is using technology to make information more accessible to the public. The new accident report website allows a citizen to locate and print a copy of an accident report completed by the investigating deputy.  Citizens should allow approximately five working days from the date of the crash for the report to be available on the site.

Inmate Search


As part of a continuing effort to improve customer service, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. is using new technology to make the Sheriff’s Office user-friendly and even more accessible to the public.  The new inmate search program allows a citizen to find out if an inmate is in custody in the Milwaukee County Jail and House of Corrections.
